The world is in the grips of an all-encompassing health-crisis that has drastically affected the lives of millions of people around the world.
All over the world, governments are taking action to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. While many of these measures are necessary and effective, some of them also have side-effects on the functioning of our democracies. In other countries still, governments have gone so far as to utilise the crisis to limit civil and democratic rights.
On this page, we aim to monitor the effects, good and bad, of the measures taken to combat corona to our democracies around the world.
Our goal is to collect as much information as possible, but in order to do this we need your help. So let us know about the situation in your country!
