On 2 October in Brussels, Belgium, demonstrations followed the illegal interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla in Israel. Protesters gathered at the Bourse Square, in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in front of the European Parliament. As reported by Amnesty International, a peaceful picket started in the early evening in front of the European Parliament, until it was dispersed with excessive use of force by the police around 10pm.
