NGOs condemn European Parliament resolution on countering Islamist entryism

On 8 October, the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling for an EU strategy to
“counter Islamist entryism” calling for de-platforming civil society organisations.

In a statement published shortly after the vote, a group of leading civil society organisations strongly condemned the resolution, which they said “reaches a new high of Islamophobic attacks on civil society.”
